The Unity Council’s CEO, Chris Iglesias, had the honor of meeting with California Governor Gavin Newsom to discuss the pressing public safety challenges faced by Oaklanders. This important conversation also highlighted community-sourced solutions that aim to address these obstacles and bring meaningful change to the neighborhoods that need it most.
The meeting served as a vital platform for representatives to voice concerns and propose solutions on behalf of Oakland’s diverse communities.
