The Unity Council is co-developing 2700 International alongside Eden Housing, transforming the site into a new mixed-use affordable housing development designed to meet Oakland’s urgent housing needs. The project will feature 75 permanently affordable housing units for households earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI), including 22 supportive housing units dedicated to formerly homeless veterans. The development will also include ground-floor commercial space and a podium parking garage with 34 parking spaces for residential and commercial use.
Additional on-site amenities will include a large community courtyard with a play area, community gardens, laundry facilities, a community room, and dedicated property management and resident services offices — all designed to support resident wellness, connection, and long-term stability.
The Unity Council and Eden Housing will serve as co-developers for the project, with The Unity Council also providing resident services for non-supportive housing residents. The John Stewart Company will provide onsite property management, while Insight Housing will deliver supportive services for the 22 veteran households, which will also receive rental assistance through 19 VASH vouchers.
Construction began in April 2026, with an estimated completion date of February 2028.
