The Unity Council had the distinct honor of hosting California Attorney General Rob Bonta in Fruitvale, a moment that underscored the positive momentum driving Oakland forward. During his visit, we engaged in meaningful conversations about two critical issues impacting our community: public safety and affordable housing.
One of the highlights of the day was showcasing two transformative projects that reflect Fruitvale’s vibrancy and resilience: Casa Sueños, a beacon of affordable housing, and Juntos Fruitvale, our new cultural arts and community hub. These initiatives embody our commitment to creating spaces that uplift, inspire, and strengthen our community.
Hosting elected officials, community leaders, and visitors in Fruitvale is always a source of pride for us. Each visit highlights the incredible work being done to preserve and enhance the vibrancy of our neighborhood while addressing some of today’s most pressing challenges.
