The Unity Council has entered into an option agreement with the Oakland Peace Center for the purchase of 111 Fairmount Ave as of October 2024 to develop the existing historic church site into 94 units of affordable housing and office space for Oakland Peace Center and its partners. An entitlements package for the six-story 94-unit building design will be submitted in Spring 2026.
We began our community engagement efforts in April 2025 and are continuing to incorporate community feedback into the design and programming of the project.
