The Unity Council Featured on KTVU 2 Morning News Zip Trip at Fruitvale Transit Village

July 21, 2023

On Friday, July 21st, The Unity Council was honored to be featured on KTVU 2 Morning News Zip Trip, a distinguished segment that highlights the heart of local communities. The KTVU team visited our Fruitvale Transit Village to capture the vibrant music, culture, and rich heritage of Oakland, showcasing what makes this area so special.

During the segment, KTVU reporters gave viewers a deeper look into the essence of Oakland, including the powerful partnerships that keep Fruitvale thriving. The Unity Council’s collaboration with organizations like La Clinica de la Raza and Code Next was highlighted, illustrating the strength of community-driven efforts rooted in our neighborhood.

Through music, storytelling, and history, this broadcast celebrated the unique spirit of Fruitvale and the people who call it home. We hope you didn’t miss the opportunity to experience Oakland’s essence coming to life on screen!

For those who didn’t catch the segment, stay tuned for more ways to connect with the community and learn about the incredible work happening here at The Unity Council.
