The 55 unit occupied multi-family apartment building is located at 2000 36th
Ave in Oakland. The two-story wood-frame building was built in the 1950s
and features a large interior courtyard, laundry room, and on-site parking.
The property was purchased with a combination of funds from Enterprise
Community Partners, and the City of Oakland. The acquisition preserves
the affordability of this property for at least the next 55 years, and most
likely much longer.
The existing tenants have rent control and are able to remain in place. As
units become available in these buildings; new tenants will have incomes at
or below 80% of the AMI, ensuring that these properties remain homes for
low- to moderate-income people.
