The Unity Council is proud to announce that our CEO, Chris Iglesias, was recognized with the prestigious Champion for Youth Award at the East Oakland Youth Development Center’s (EOYDC) Black Futures Ball.
This honor celebrates Chris’s unwavering commitment to empowering and uplifting youth in our community. His leadership has been instrumental in creating opportunities and fostering a supportive environment where young people can thrive and reach their full potential.
The Black Futures Ball was a joyful celebration of the richness, resilience, and limitless nature of Blackness, as well as a tribute to Oakland’s divine culture. The event highlighted the collective efforts being made to build a secure and supportive future for East Oakland’s students.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to EOYDC for this incredible recognition and for championing the next generation of leaders. Together, we’re making a lasting impact and creating a brighter future for our youth.
