The Unity Council was honored to be recognized as the Non-Profit Organization of the Game at the Oakland A’s Hispanic Heritage Day celebration this past Saturday, September 21st. It was a memorable day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and cultural pride!
Before the game, our team came together for a lively staff tailgate, where laughter filled the air, and everyone enjoyed delicious food. The highlight of the day came when our CEO, Chris Iglesias, took the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch—an unforgettable moment that set the tone for a day of unity and celebration.
The event brought together families and community members to celebrate not only baseball but also our rich Hispanic heritage. From thrilling game action to tasty tailgate treats, it was a perfect day to cherish our culture, connect with one another, and showcase the spirit of The Unity Council.
We are grateful to the Oakland A’s for this special recognition and for making Hispanic Heritage Day an unforgettable experience for all who attended.
