Reflecting & Rejoicing Celebrating 60 Years of Impact »
Daniel Zamani
Daniel was born in Sacramento, growing up in a household with a Shi’ite Muslim father, a Southern Baptist mother, a humanist sister, and an agnostic ginger cat. With the exception of the cat, all inspired him to contribute to the communities in which he lives through acts of service, charitable donations, and most of all, through listening and learning about our shared humanity. He enjoys building and working on platforms and strategic frameworks that allow people to better their organizations and themselves. While his path has led him through many different careers and industries, from real estate to criminal defense to cybersecurity, his focus has always been on how he impacts others.

After a short stint in Los Angeles to get a BS in Anthropology from UCLA and an even briefer stint in San Francisco to get a JD from UC Hastings College of the Law, Daniel moved to Oakland in 2011.
