Every year The Unity Council hosts three traditional arts workshops before the Dia de los Muertos Festival in Fruitvale. Each one will feature different crafts and local artists.
All workshops are free, open to the public, and include materials. All ages welcome!
Tuesday, October 16 from 6-8PM – History of Dia de los Muertos & Paper Flowers by Ernesto Olmos
Tuesday, October 23 from 6-8PM– Learn How to Make Papel Picado with Mayra Hernandez
Tuesday, October 30 from 6-8PM– Learn How to Make Paper Mache Sugar Skulls with Daniel Camacho
All workshops will take place at the Fruitvale – San Antonio Senior Center located at 3301 E. 12th Street, Suite 201, Oakland, CA 94601
