Arturo (Art) Rodriguez brings over 20 years’ experience in operations and leadership roles in addition to a technical background in computer networking and programming.
Art oversees the IT Department, the corporate office Administration, operations policies and procedures, compliance with local and federal entities, and, manages vendors and contracts such as the internet service provider, insurance provider, copier, and office supply vendors.
Throughout his 10 year tenure at The Unity Council, Art has contributed to many programs including projects related to regional and federal reporting, the refinancing of Posada de Colores, and, grant writing. Through his efforts in cutting expenses, Art has been able to save the organization over $100,000 ongoing annually by way of negotiating better contracts while still retaining high levels of service from providers. His most recent contributions are in technology, facilitating The Unity Council’s migration to Office 365 and SharePoint, enabling a fully remote cloud environment.
Previous to The Unity Council, Art worked in the for-profit manufacturing sector. Most notable positions held in this sector include Buyer (procurement position with multi-million dollar spending budget), Production Planner, and, Operations Manager.
