Alma was born in Mexico but was raised in Santa Ana for most of her life. Alma’s first job was as a game booth attendant at the OC Fair. She moved up to the bay to be the first person in her family to attend university, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Disability Studies. She strives to give back to communities like the one she grew up in, as she experienced first hand the hardships entailed incoming from a low-income, immigrant community, and hopes to help others like she was helped.
Alma is also a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and hopes to bring in her knowledge of mental health issues when supporting youth to achieve their financial, educational, and career goals. In her free time, Alma enjoys doodling/drawing, binging Netflix shows, and playing tennis.
