FAQ

Is the festival Rain or Shine?

YES! We will be there enjoying ourselves whether it rains or not! Come prepared in a jacket and good shoes to fully enjoy the festival.

What are the hours?

10am – 5pm. Vendors come as early as 6:30 am to set-up.

Who are the headliners?

Banda Troyana on the main stage and Chuy Gomez at the throwback block party. Thank you to our Media Sponsors 93.3 La Raza and Telemundo 48, and for sponsoring the two stages of continuous live music!

What are you fundraising for?

The Unity Council is a nonprofit community organization with over a dozen programs. Besides covering the cost of the festival, we are trying to raise $100,000 for our Head Start program, which works with families across Oakland and their children aged birth – 5yrs.

How do I get there?

The Festival is BARTable! We recommend taking BART to Fruitvale Station to be delivered right to the heart of the festival.

You can also ride your bicycle, walk, or take AC Transit to the festival! Traffic is very congested around the festival area during Sunday, and parking is extremely limited.

Where do I park?

Parking will be challenging. Try San Leandro Blvd.

Which streets are closed and for how long?

Street closures begin at 7pm Saturday, November 3. Your car will be towed if it is in the closure zone.

International Blvd from Fruitvale Ave to 40th Ave will be closed. In addition, 12th Street between 33rd and 37th Ave will be closed to traffic. 33rd Ave, 35th Ave, 36th Ave, and 37th Ave from International Blvd. to San Leandro Blvd will be closed to traffic. See the festival map for more.
