Michelle Brega

Board Member
Michelle Brega is Vice President, Community Development Regional Manager for U.S. Bank, based within the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility division. Her office is in San Francisco, where she leads a team that oversees community development and CRA strategies in markets across California.

Michelle has been in the corporate citizenship and community development field for more than 15 years. Her expertise includes community outreach, strategic grantmaking and sponsorships, reputation management, corporate communications, employee engagement, and multicultural initiatives. She joined U.S. Bank, the nation's fifth-largest bank, in 2015. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Michelle was with Bank of America from 2007 to 2014, where she managed corporate social responsibility and community engagement initiatives in the Bay Area and in San Diego. Her banking career began at San Diego-based Mission Federal Credit Union.

She has served on numerous boards spanning economic development, community development, and poverty reduction. Michelle currently serves on the advisory boards of Greenlight Fund, Asian Pacific Fund, and Enterprise Community Partners in Northern California. Her prior board experience includes the Chinatown Community Development Center, LISC Bay Area, USCD Alumni Association, and the San Diego Regional Economic Development Foundation.

Michelle is originally from Bethesda, Maryland, and moved west to attend the University of California San Diego where she received her bachelor's degree in political science. She lives in the East Bay with her husband and three sons.
